Nate(N4YDU) will be the team leader of “NA4E” and is partnered with “Kam” Sirageldin, N3KS in this year’s WRTC competition as part of the July IARU contest being held this year on July12-13th. The WRTC 2014(World Radio Team Championship) is being held in the greater Boston area this year, with “59 teams from 29 qualifying regions around the world”. For contestants, WRTC is a week-long event.
At this month’s(June 2014) meeting, our illustrious President and cat-herd-in-chief Nate Moreschi(N4YDU) was presented with gift cards totaling $1,000 from members of the NC chapter. The collection effort was spearheaded by Rob(K4OV) in a chapter effort to help N4YDU with the out-of-pocket expenses associated with being a contestant and participating in the events associated with WRTC.
Congratulations to N4YDU for the hard work he put into qualifying for the event and best of luck to Team YDU/KS (??pronounced as iDuks???). You can still help by working ALL of the teams(using 1×1 US type call signs) during the contest. 5x2x59….thats 590 Q’s right there. (W4KAZ slogan: WTF….GO iDuks!)

Jim Jordan K4QPL announces to Nate N4YDU and club members that PVRCNC has solicited contributions from club members to offset costs associated with Nate’s participation in WRTC. Jim explains that he had to get 2 gift cards from the bank, since each card is limited to $500.

Jim presents Nate with gifts cards totaling $1,000 on behalf of our proud PVRCNC membership.
